A Word of advice!
Let me begin by saying that I am very happy with the service we got at the Westbury Manor at the day of our wedding; we had a wonderful wedding day, and the attention was just great. However, we did a silver coin exchange during our ceremony, and they dissapeared after it
They were my father's gift, and although might not be too valuable money wise (even they are true silver and old), they were part of our wedding ceremony, and I am very sad that are gone
.
Well, after ruling out that the Rev. had them for us, asked our families, etc we kept trying to get an answer from the WM ... today we did get it: they are not responsable for things left outside, the family should had pick them up (which nobody told us). In their own words, it could have been anyone from our own guests, to the 200 guests of the party in the hall in the 1st floor, or anybody else. The strange thing, is that the silver tray where they were on was returned to me, as well as the rings' case, the baskets with the programs, the little basket for the coin bearer ... everything showed up but the coins.
So, my word of advice for you oncoming brides, is that if during your ceremony you are using anything that is of value to you (monetary or sentimental) do not asume that someone from the hall or church is going to take care of that (although to an extent it is their job). Make sure that a friend or relative is encharge of picking such things up. That way you won't have a sad/uncomfortable memory of your wedding day.
best of lucks!
