Re: Irish dancers/bag pipes

I used Kevin Connolly (a LIW vendor) for bag pipes at my wedding. He was wonderful. Here's his site...Celtic Pipers

I didn't get Irish Step Dancers, but Kevin may know of some.

Good Luck!!!

I used Kevin Connolly too! He did a wonderful job. Unfortunately, I don't know step dancers, but I'm sure Kevin could help you find what you are looking for.

I know that Leggz Dance Studio in Rockville Centre teaches Irish Step Dancing. Maybe they can help.

Re: Irish dancers/bag pipes

I used to coordinate an Irish Festival at my old job and I've used the Hirten Family and Inishfri (sp) for dancers. For the bagpipers I used the Nassau County Police Pipe and Drum. I can FM you the conatct info for the dancers, but it might take a few days. My old colleague who can get me the info is on his honeymoon!

Re: Irish dancers/bag pipes

Innisfree School of Irish Dancing
(it's pronounced Inish-free) and the instructor is a guy named Sean. Click 'contact' link for his phone #.

Here's another one
Petri School of Irish Dancing

Look at the picture of the dancers...all girls and waaay over to the left...1 boy! and he's so cute!!

I don't know if either schools will be able to help you but it's worth a shot.

Re: Irish dancers/bag pipes

To the girl that bumped this up...There's an irish festival going on this Saturday (I guess if weather is OK) on 6th Ave from the 40's to the 50's in NYC. I don't know if any irish dancers will be there but if you are in the area you can go look. Maybe someone there can recommend dancers to you.
