i am here to help! lately i have been answering people's computer problems; i guess i am a computer geek!

there is an explanation on dafont, but i will try to simplify it for you.

what you want to do is pick the font you like and download to your desktop. the thing that is confusing you is that it is in .zip format.

you need to UNZIP it. if you need an unzipping tool, FM me, but it should work with XP, without a tool.

so you have your zip file tools ready to unzip, now download the file you want to your desktop (much easier to find there).

now go and open your control panel. you will see there is a fonts folder. dont go into the fonts folder, but make sure you see all the options there, like this (i do not leave it at a full window, for a reason):

notice the fonts folder is highlited?

ok now go and double click on the font that you just downloaded to your desktop. depending on what program you use to unzip (i use win rar) it MAY look like this:

now take the file (it will be either a .ttf, .otf or .fon file after you unzip) and drop and drag it to the fonts folder. MAKE sure your control panel folder ISNT on the toolbar as you cannot drop and drag to the tool bar.

it may look like this:

hold down your left mouse button and move the mouse so you move the file into the fonts folder.

you will see a little box and it will install it rather quickly.

it should then be ready to use in word or whatever program you want to use the font in.

hope that helps, i tried my best to explain a confusing topic.
