OK, ladies. I have made up my mind, I am going to do a Day After Shoot. It's my one year anniversary gift to myself. Now, I feel like I am wedding planning all over again because I can't choose a photographer. Ofcouse I am thinking about Angelica Glass because she's amazing, although I am waiting to hear back from her. But, then I am also thinking that maybe I should get a photog. that has beautiful work, but is a little more traditional like Velvet. I'm so confused. I'd love to hear opinions. I just want something I can be excited about since I wasn't first time around.

well its not the exact day after, people do it weeks or months after the wedding...hey get all dressed up again and take pics. THe reason why is either they didnt like the pics their photographer took and they hire a different photographer to do this, or sometimes bc of all the craziness of the day there are alot of pics you wanted but didn't get or you think theres not enough of you and your husband

AHHH..I see. Thats kinda fun. I think every bride should get into their dress once year to make sure it still fits...LOL!!
So just the bride does this? Or does the groom do it too sometimes? I suppose like anything... ANYTHING goes.

Are you doing the hair and makeup exactly the same?
Are you doing it because you didnt like the first set you had?
Are you planning on getting a really good shot to have blown up and framed?

they do it together, like i mentioned before some couples think they didnt get enough pictures together the day of the wedding, youll have some solo shots but you do the shoot together
some people do a trash the dress shoot after the wedding, that is usually just the bride

I have no problem answering your questions. There are two main reasons I am doing this. 1. I do not like the way I looked in the photos taken of me. 2. There were barely any portraits taken of just me and my hubby. My Mother in law wanted a portrait and she had two picture choices. It was kinda pathetic.

my photogrpaher is Andreas Rentsch and he does day after shoots and engagement pics. I personally love his photos and he is a very nice person so I think I will feel at ease with him. I highly recommend him so far!
How much a session like this would normally cost? Anyone?

As for cost, I had been getting quotes for engagement shoots (dunno if day after is more) and the costs seemed to range from $350-$750. This was a few months ago that i was looking into it.
