Ok so my BM’s are wearing Navy blue satin floor length gowns (I am letting them pick their own). On some of their dresses, shoes will be showing. 3 of them want to wear black shoes, 1 of them wants to wear silver. I personally would like them in black shoes because the men will be wearing black and navy. The one who wants silver is really pushing it to the other girls…but I don’t think silver would look right next to me in my goldish champagne dress. I didn’t want then to dye shoes because some of them are broke and I don’t want them wasting $$ on shoes they’ll never wear again. What do you guys think? What color shoes should they go with? TIA for your help!!!

If you want the black and navy look, then go with black...
I don't necessarily think that their shoes have to match your dress, but I know what you mean....
Don't let the silver-shoe girl push it to your other girls.... it's your wedding, she can have her girls wear silver shoes in HER wedding if she wants....

personally my honest opinion.. I dont know if i would do black.. If anything since your dress is a champaigne color I would have them do that sorta color instead of the silver since you dont think it will go.. My girls are in a dark indigo which is cloe to navy color and they are short. Im havin them in magenta shoes just for a pop of color.. since your dresses are long you wont really see their shoes.. but i dont know how much black would go with the navy dresses.. I would have to see it!

I love navy and black together and originally, I wanted my BMs in black shoes with their navy satin dresses too, but then we made a change to the dress that made silver shoes a better match. (added a platinum/grey detail to the dress)
For a regular Navy gown, I'd prefer black BUT my BMs tell me silver is a nice contrast. I think it's nice, but navy and black is one of my fave combos.

I'm not a big fan of black with navy, but it's your wedding. They should just wear whatever you ask of them. You're already being easy going by letting them choose their own dress style!

I think Im gonna have to sit down with them and go over everything! I have been super relaxed about the whole thing, I just ask that the shoes at last be the same color. Hopefully they'll agree on something i can live with lol

i don't really like black with navy, but that said they had eggplant dresses and I said get whatever silver shoes you want- which was fine with them
so the week before the wedding one BM sprained her ankle and couldn't wear heels and she ended up wearing black flats instead.. LOL it was the last thing on my mind and they were long so you didn't even see them... except in THIS picture which I still make fun of her for hahahaha.

@ the black flats! They do really stand out! I'm afraid for that 1 pic that is ruined by someone standing out in a bad way! The silver shoes looked way better with that color!

I know, but the week before I wasn't going to get mad at her for spraining her ankle, you know? it was wrapped up in an ace bandage and everything, and the poor girl had to have emergency hemming on her dress 2 days before bc it was now too long...
honestly though out of like the 1500 pics I got that was the only one you could see her shoes.. the rest of the group photos you couldn't see their shoes at all. for the reception most of them kicked them off and put on their flip flops anyway for dancing
it's totally up to you, just thought I'd share that it ended up not being a big deal at all. Tell her majority rules :)

not a huge fan of black/navy. sooo if it's not too expensive, I'd have the girls get navy shoes (dyed)......
