Can us LIWers help the people of Haiti as a group? - LIW responded to this; scroll down!!
So I was brainstorming on my way to work about the tragedies going on in Haiti and how lucky we all are, and that sometimes we take things for granted.
Then I started to think if there was a way for us LIWers to maybe do something as a group, like we did when it came to using the extra money from the 2010 Shower for a great cause.
This is just an idea, and maybe Client Services can help out. As we know, there are tons of raffles at TWOTY, and that each girl gets the same amount of raffle tickets to use toward the prizes.
But what if one of the prizes was drawn only from raffle tickets that were purchased - like use the old-school carnival-style tickets with numbers on them...and then the money raised would be given to help the people of Haiti?
Is this possible? It's only a week away, but I'm sure Client Services has another iPod nano or something like that that could be given away for this

or what about instead of a 50:50 raffle, a 80:20....so someone will still walk away with money...but 80% would go to help in haiti!! i would def. contribute.

i thought that we don't have to purchase raffle tickets- that they're given to us when we walk in? or am i just on vicodin?
i think this is a fabulous idea though, let's do an 80-20 like Janis said. or something like that!

Yes, they give us raffle tickets, but my suggestion was that one prize is given away solely by raffle tickets that are purchased - like what we did at the shower, only that was for all prizes. I like Janis' idea too!

We can not legally do a 50/50 raffle. But we can have $1 tickets at TWOTY with an iPod nano as a prize with all proceeds going to Haiti!
