Bouquet Locket

I 'borrowed' the idea from pictures like this:

and made this the other day for my own bouquet:

I think it coordinates well with my earrings and hair pin, although I didn't make these...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that!
You have the best stuff.
PLUS your jewlery matches the 1928 stuff I want to suggest to my BMs!
Though those boxes look like Tiffany's...
Very well done, you have inspired me to try again on my hair flowers.

Re: Bouquet Locket

thanks girls! I loved the idea when I saw it too. It's a subtle and beautiful way to remember a loved one, and have them close to you as you walk down the aisle.

Naunie - please do those flowers, I was looking forward to seeing them!

I bought everything at Michaels, but they have the same stuff at AC Moore as well.

All the beading/jewelry making supplies are in one aisle of both stores, so it is easy to find. I used the line of beads and embellishments (those silver rectangular thingies on mine) that are Swarovski. But there really are a million ways you can go. I used wire to thread the beads, it comes on a small spool and you can find different brands in that same aisle.

They have those books and fliers with project ideas on them in the store, so I flipped through those while I was there. It helped me to get an idea of what I wanted it to look like. It took 20 minutes, and cost about $15 for all the supplies. It's pretty simple, if anyone needs any further help just let me know.

I love that idea! I had seen it on another bride's and I started to cry! My grandfather walked both my sisters down the aisle with my dad and he passed away a few years ago so I mentioned it to FH and he loved loved loved this idea for me! I think I'll make everyone cry when I walk down the aisle with it! ok gotta stop thinking about it gonna cry

Do you have a website to the Mega Made company where you order the bouquet locket. My daughter is getting married in Oct 2006 and we wanted to put a locket in her bouquet and have been searching until today we run across your posting. Any help you can give us will be much appreciated.

I think you may have gotten me and Ms. Naunie Naun confused, so I am going to answer for her!

I did not order the bouquet locket from Mega Made, I got my earrings and pin from them (they are an Ebay vendor).

I made the locket myself. Here is the info I posted above regarding making the locket - in case you missed it:

I bought everything at Michaels, but they have the same stuff at AC Moore as well.

All the beading/jewelry making supplies are in one aisle of both stores, so it is easy to find. I hope that helps you out! If not let me know.

Re: Bouquet Locket

ok so i'm pissed now! ugh! since it's crapy out today i sat here making this cause i bought all the supplies a while ago. Well it broke once I put it around the bouquet! (I have a fake one my friend made me out of shower gift bows and flowers it looks amazing!)

I used wire that I bought in the fashion district where all the beads are sold to make jewlery and it wasn't that cheap either! FH and I loved it and it was perfect and then I went to tie it around the bouquet w/ a piece of curling ribbon just to see and it ripped right through the wire!

What did you other girls use???????? How did you attached it to your bouquet???? Thanks!!!
