Party Idea! (pics should be working now!)

DH and I had a 35th anniversary party for my inlaws at our house last weekend. It was a luau and we decorated the tent with paper lanterns--

I just thought I'd share this for any brides thinking of tent weddings or engagement parties-- it was beautiful! It definately took some time but the reactions that we got from people was WELL worth it!! They were blown away!!

lanterns during the day:

and at night--- the lanterns and the candles on the table were the only light! The ambiance was beautiful!!

I love it and my FH and I may have a tent at our wedding. We were thinking of lanterns. You've made up my mind!

Re: Party Idea! (pics should be working now!)

Thanks everyone :)

We did it ourselves after much research and shopping around.

The funny thing is that the company that we rented our tent from loved it and hadn't seen it done before- so they asked if anyone asked for the lanterns would we do it-- and we said of course-- what a way to make some extra cash, right?

haha!

Thanks again for the kind words!

Re: Party Idea! (pics should be working now!)

Where did you get the lanterns?

Re: Party Idea! (pics should be working now!)

we go the lanterns online-- there are so many places to choose from!

We also checked out China Town-- their pricing wasn't bad at all.

Over all it wasn't cheap, but at the same time it looked WAY more expensive then it was-- does that make sense? Lol!
