Do your vendors have you on payment plans? What about your RH???
Every single one of my vendors just wanted a deposit and then the balance on the day of or two weeks before. Even my RH I make a $5k deposit when we booked and another one 6 months later but the balance which is probably like double that isn't due until two weeks before.
It's kind of nice because it gives us more time to save but in a way I don't like not having a schedule. I made one for myself but it's not the same because I know I can take from it and just pay it back later on.

We had periodic payments for RH (totaling $7K) and photo/video (totaling $4K), then balance due when I pick up prints. .
For the band we had a deposit, then a second deposit, then balance due day of.
For limos, we had a deposit, and balance due I think the day or week of.

That was the case for most of our vendors (besides RH), pay a deposit and the rest at the wedding. Our photographer wanted the balance minus 500 2 months before the wedding and the 500 at the wedding.
I've been paying our vendors down so that we wont have to come up with a bunch of money all at the end.

rh we paid 3 payments before the wedding and the final balance is due about 2 weeks from the wedding. all other vendors had us pay a deposit then the remaining balances r due right about now, lol.

same with us, deposits at inital booking & balances due day of the wedding.
& in my opinion our deposits where not even that much money.
RH $5,000 Limos $400 Florist $300 Photo/Video $500 Band $2,000

All of my vendors are like that as well. FH and I were thinking about making a fre more early payments, just so we're not hit with all the balances at one time.

We left deposits with all the vendors...and we can really pay whenever we want. I think most of them want most of the balance by a month before and the remaining balance in cash day of.

All my vendors just required a deposit. Some of them need balance due two weeks before, some day before. We were able to pay off RH (well, we upgraded some stuff so now we have a little balance left) and limos already. I was actually surprised that our RH didn't have a payment schedule, they just said~pay whenever you want to.

For our RH we had the deposit, payment 1 year away, payment 6 months away, then 3 months, then the last is 1 week before.
Photographer had deposit, 1 year before payment and that's it.
Florist was deposit and payment 1 month before Limo's was the same as florist
DJ.. who knows... lol they'll get there $ when they get it lol.

I know exactly how you feel - I have been paying everything way before the 'schedule' only b/c I feel like if I have the money on hand, I'll spend it on other things (talk about lack of self-control!).
Example: my RH had a payment plan for the deposit and then 4 payments before the final one a few days befor the wedding. However, once I got my bonus this year, we just paid the entire thing in one lump sum. So we just have the final payment left (we've paid enough for our min guests w/o tax & tip so just the amt $$pp X 175).
I also paid off our photographer and DJ.
I'm planning on making a few prior payments to the florist in the upcoming weeks and the limo if we ever figure out who we're going with!
The only person who didn't want any more $$ was my DOC, she just wantst the balance the day of!

the only only plave that really had a schedule is our RH ...but I'm paying that off next week! and I make payments to DJ and Photographer just so it's not a lot. I paid off the Limo's already!

for the rh, i left a 500 deposit, and then i've made payments of 750 every other month since last march..our last one is may 10--this will total half the cost of the rh, and then the other half is due 2 weeks before
for photo, it was a 500 deposit, 1100 due 4 weeks before, and the remainder (800) due when i pick up the proofs
for video, it was something silly like 100, i think 500 due day of, and 375 due when we pick up the video
limos we left 180, balance due day of (around 300)
