Permanent French Manicure

I have seen a lot of people talk about this, but I still dont know what it is. Can someone please explain this manicure to me? Why is it different from a French Manicure? I was in my nail place yesterday and saw they chage $50 for it, so what's the deal with this manicure?

TIA!

It is pink and white acrylic.

When you get a regular french, the tips get worn and it starts to looks crapy.

The permanant french is done with white acrylic on your tips so it always looks perfectly white and pretty.

when they fill it it, they shave down the white acrylic and add more, as well as give you a regular fill in.

Hope that makes sense.

(I've gotten one, and love it.)

you also have the option of keeping the permanent french and if you want to polish your nails a color, you just polish right over it

I want this - i love the look of french but it never lasts... Can't wait to move back to LI to get nails put back on. No one outside of NY knows how to do nails the right way!!

I get mine done with powder.....It doesn't look as thick as acrylic does...They use the permanent white for the tip and then clear powder for the nail bed....I love it....It costs me 45 to start and then 20 for a regular fill in and 30 if I need a double fill....
They never look bad.....

I get pink and white gel as well, and have for about 3 years. It lasts so long that even though it is a bit more pricey than regular acrylic, I only have to go 3-4 weeks so it kind of evens out. I get compliments all the time about them.

I have found that every nail salon does them differently, which is kind of frustrating. I travel 1/2 hour to get them done...but it is worth it!

I could be wrong but permanent french is a white tip instead of clear-I get this done and they call it permanent french, I am a nail biter though so it could be different depending on your nail length.

It grows out and then they are brush but I dont know if the pink and white is the same

I have it and love it. Regular French always chips on me (even more so with all the typing due to LIW ).
It looks very natural and lasts a while. Although the initial fee is a bit more, it is worth it. Not sure where you are located but I have a great place in Western Suffolk, FM if you want details. I have been going there for about 10 yrs.
