I was inspired by Azad...new pictures from last night
Fh and I started making our photocube box thingy today. we painted the frames and the circle shaped lazy susan. we didn't buy the L-brackets yet. Need to hit up a hardware store tommorow.
THe only thing I am worried about it getting the foam to stay up. I was going to use more L brackets but the foam is thicker than the edge of the frame and the bracket would cover the back of the frame where the pictures get inserted. Oh well I will have to brainstorm.

Yeah she inspired me too. Today, I printed out the directions and a picture and told FH that he has a task to do. He looked at it and was like 'No Problem'. Where did you get the lazy sue thing? Does it already turn, or are you assembling the lazy sue yourself?

i don't know where to get the lazy sue thing because i didn't get it probably at a home depot or something...
pat, we got those self-adesive hooks (4 of them) we're putting them on the back of the frames to hold up the styrofoam
Oh i should try those hooks. We are going to Lowes tonight to get some more supplies.
About the lazy susan. I was looking for a square base in ac moore and couldn't find one big enough so i started looking for a circle and by accident picked up the lazy susan.. I will post a picture of it. it was already assembled.
Are you going to put the frames on the circular base or are you putting another square piece on top of the circle?

Re: I was inspired by Azad...
here are some more pictures... We still need to cover the foam with satin and cut the hole. We also need to buy and stick in the in plastic hanger things to hold up the foam...
FYI... after I put the matting in the back of the frames would not fit.

It look beautiful! Don't forget to cut the slit diagonally (reccommendation from Azad).
Fast progress!

She said that it's easier to put big cards in it when the slit is diagonal.

It looks really really good!
I was also messing around with it, inspired by Azad
I painted all four frames - used spay praint. Mine will be red with gold fabric. I'm so excited to make it work! And, like Azad, purchased the weeled square.
