My wedding menu at The Royalton, 6/12/10!!!
Hi all,
I am so excited to post my menu for my wedding!!!!! It is going to be absolutely fabulous. I came up with almost all the ideas on my own - and no, I did not pick them off a list. Gerard provided a few 'sample menus' but they weren't too much to go off of. That is the real beauty of The Royalton - just use your imagination, and they will do the rest! I am so excited for the day of, you can't even imagine. We like to think of ourselves as 'foodies' so of course the food is a major aspect for us.
We're having our ceremony at The Royalton, so as part of the fee for that, they include a pre-ceremony hospitality, which will include:
Sparkling water, Peach iced tea or sweet tea, Lemonade, Mimosas/Virgin Mimosas, and Cold canapes such as goat cheese tartlets, fruit skewers, etc.
For the cocktail hour we're having a ton of passed hors d'oeurves: Bacon-wrapped scallops, Coconut shrimp w/ pina coladas in a mini-martini glass, Spicy tuna tartar on sesame cracker, Baby lamb chop, Smoked salmon on crusty bread with cream cheese & capers, Bruschetta triangles, Orange-glazed duck skewers, Bacon-wrapped dates and/or figs with mascarpone cheese, Beef tenderloin w/ creamy horseradish sauce & carmelized onions, Crab rangoon, Mini egg rolls, Ceviche served in Japanese soup spons, Kobe Beef sliders, and Belgian frites
We also get 5 stations:
Antipasto station with assorted Italian meats, cheeses, olives, artichoke hearts/roasted red peppers, also w/ veggies & dip, and fruit
Greek station with Greek salad, feta cheese, hummus & pita chips, stuffed grape leaves, babaganoush, tahini
Grill station with various grilled meats (outside) - filet mignon skewers, bbq chicken, miso-glazed red snapper, and grilled veggies
Italian station with 3 cheese tortellini, lobster raviolis, fried calamari, mussels marinated white wine sauce
Crepes station - Spinach & mushroom, goat cheese, etc
And a custom drink line! Our colors are orange and light blue, and I LOVE margaritas, so I decided we would have mango margaritas as our custom drink! We are also going to have pitchers of white and red sangria up at the bar. Of course, there's top-shelf open bar throughout the event, too!
THEN, for dinner, we're having an appetizer that's a field greens salad with a goat cheese crostini and red-wine poached pear. We had it at the tasting and it was awesome! Then they serve a sorbet palate cleanser between the appetizer and the entree.
For entrees, there's a choice of beef, fish, chicken, or vegetarian:
Filet Mignon served w/ bundled veggies and mashed potatoes
Halibut with mango-citrus salsa, served with risotto and broccolini
Rosemary French-cut Chicken Breast, served over herb potatoes & roasted root vegetables
Spinach Fettucine with Heirloom Tomatoes, served with a grilled eggplant stuffed with vegetable ratatouille
Then for the wedding cake, we're doing a 3-tier square cake with white scroll details, blue ribbons around each tier, and orange flowers. The outside will be fondant, and then it'll be yellow cake with chocolate ganache and canoli cream filling.
We also get a plated dessert, and we're doing chocolate covered strawberries, a fruit tart, and gelato. There will also be a family-style platter in the middle of each table with assorted bakery pastries (canolis, napoleans, rainbow cookies, etc).
Are you hungry yet????
