Russo's mini review
OK...went to Frankie and Danielle's wedding on Friday night at Russos.
It was great.
Food-- amazing.. Venetian hour was out of this world -- candy apples, cotton candy, white and dark chocolate fountains..the best!
DJ - Nicky G from 2 +2 entertainment. He is so good. There were a lot of older family members there and the dancefloor was packed the whole time with old and young!
Photographer & Video - Riccardos
Anthony is so awesome. My FH was in the BP and he said Anthony did a great job. There were 22 guys and 8 or 9 girls in the BP and he had everything under control. He brought them to the city and in the middle of Times Square he stopped traffic and two cabs and had the bride and groom jump in and open the doors at the same time and reach across and hold hands. Then they went to CEntral Park and he had the girls sit in the tea cups in the fountain (don't worry..there was no water). I talked to him at the wedding (he is doing ours in Sept. ) and he was so cool and you can just tell he is so passionate about his work. He was even looking at me and planning in his head how the wedding day would be (photo wise)...he said he is going to buy lifts for his shoes so he can be closer to my height and shoot me at the right angle! I swear the way this guy is..he is really gonna do it.
If you haven't booked a photographer yet, ,,,I def. rec. this vendor.
After Hours - Russo's offers this thing now where you can extend your party. Theirs went til 4am!! Around 1:30am they moved whoever wanted to stay into a back room that was called 'Danielle and Frankie's Lounge' and had it set up dark with candles --like a real lounge. They had a Cuban cigar roller there passing out cigars...which didn't smell too great but a lot of people really enjoyed it. The groom is friends with DJ Skribble so he deejayed the after party -- it was a blast.
They had a lot of nice touches throughout the wedding.... my fav. was the ice sculptures and on the way out they handed our copies of the Daily News with Danielle and Frankie on the cover.
Russo's did it again..it was great!
