In unrelated news: I have a terrible headache. I am thinking of whining about it and then busting out of here early.
I have acquired what I can only deduce is a nervous habit. I press my tongue at the roof of my mouth, and I don't even realize it. Except for the fact that I do it so much now that I have broken skin at the top of my mouth and it hurts to eat. Like, the feeling when you burn the roof of your mouth. That's what it feels like. It is super sensitive. I can't stop doing it though, and the pressure I am putting on jaw, etc - causes these horrible headaches.
woe is me.

Gotta say Lau, that's a weird lil bad habit you've got there!! Try putting some Vaseline on the roof of your mouth, then when your tongue touches it it'll taste gross and you won't want to do it anymore. Good luck and I hope your head feels better!!!

I know, it is really weird. It took me like a month to figure out why the hell I had these headaches. I thought it was TMJ at first. But it's not.
I really don't think I could get myself to put vaseline on the roof of my mouth though.. although at least you tried! I was thinking to try one of the TMJ guards we have here...
I would however, use the vaseline to put on my face right before I kick Mel's (scrappy) arse.

TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT SYNDROME (TMJ)
TMJ syndrome refers to severe pain and inflammation (swelling, tenderness, and warmth) that develops at the temporomandibular joint and surrounding tissues. This joint allows the mandible (lower jaw) to open and close. This syndrome tends to affect women more than men. It is primarily due to a poor alignment between the maxilla (upper jaw) and mandible. Risk factors include recent head or neck injuries, ligament (connective tissue that joins bone to bone in joints) damage, inflamed chewing muscles, nervous tension, arthritis, dentures that do not fit comfortably, and bruxism (grinding teeth).
