First, I would like to thank everyone for their advice/opinions/votes regarding my Duet vs. Patken poll. I now understand why the poll results were so close. (at least the last I saw before they pulled it)
I must say they both do beautiful work!!
Patken: We met with Vinny. He really listened to our needs and built a package to fit our budget. My brother used them and loved them!!! The photo's/video were amazing!
Duet: We met with Eric and Nicole. They are very passionate about their work. They really adjusted the package to our needs, but didn't change the price. We were a little hestitant about the language, but we really felt comfortable with them.
I was really torn between the two. They both had their pro's and con's. It came down to the fact that my FH preferred Duet's album style. So we went with DUET!!

We actually loved their standard album - I'm not sure what its called. It was a little different than the other's we've seen.
FYI: for other Duet brides - they told thus they are developing a new album style, but didn't have samples available yet. They did tell us that they would give us the option of upgrading if we liked the new one better!

Honestly- we were a bit nervous about the language thing too at first. Then, I spoke to 2 references that had used them and they both assured me that the 2 head photographers speak perfect English (I think they may have been born & raised in this country). Eric's English isn't so great but according to those brides- you don't really speak to the videographer that much and the photographers can help if need be. That made me feel a lot better and confident that I would not have language barriers on my wedding day!

I'm trying to decide between the standard or the upgrade. When I was there to pick up our video, Eric showed me an upgrade album, but I was in a hurry, so I didn't look carefully. I will look again this week when I stop in to pick up an extra DVD of my wedding video. I'll let you know what we decide.
