looking to figure out approximate costs of packages for my budget. Can you please tell me who you are using, what you are getting and the cost for both videography and photography.

I am using Duet. Here is the Duet Thread . The package info is on the thread. I think it costs about $3700 now for that package.

Well, I don't want you to think that there's only one photographer on the Island soooo:
Photographers can range anywhere from $2000 - $10K and up. You really can't go by price when it comes to photo, you have to look at their work and see if it's what you want. Here are some quotes I got:
Perceptions $4200 photo only Patken approx $6000 for both photo & video
And both quotes included very different things. As you can see it really varies...
Also check out:
Twelfth Night Proline Studios Imagine Creative Compositions Silverfox
And nsgraham's budget vendor webpage (sorry don't have the link right now).

I also chose Duet... My best advice for you is to do a lot of research.. we looked at a ton of photographers and fell in love with duet!
That package sounds AWESOME.(though I need DVD's, VHS is a little too old for me) That could really cut down on my bottom line, and all you guys say how great they are. When the time comes, they'll definately be one to consider highly.

Re: videography/photography
FYI- If you just ask they easily change that into 3 dvds. Our parents all have dvd players as well! We dont even have a vcr in our apt!
