Do you and your FH share the same political views?
Just curious - with the election coming up, are you and your FH voting for the same guy? Is it important that you and FH are on the same page politically or in your opinion do political differences make for a more interesting relationship?

We do not discuss politics really. I vote my way, he doesn't vote.

We differ in opinions sometimes on issues, but we always tend to agree on politicians.

We discuss politics quite a bit. It's important to both us to be aware of what's going on. While we do have our differences on small issues, for the most part we have the same/similar views.

We pretty much have the same views just a couple of differences. It's funny cause last night we saw Fahrenheit 9/11 and going home we were discussing it. I commented to him that I'm glad we share the same views cause otherwise we would always be arguing...we talk politics quite a bit.

We agree on the 'ends' but not quite the 'means'. I am a huge Bush supporter and he couldn't be further from it. But at the same time, I'm also a lot more political in general than he is. He'll vote but only for what he deems are 'important' elections. I, on the other hand, go on a tirade every election day that I go down to the polls an hour before they close to be told that my number is 116 or something. I was also a political science major with a concentration in International Relations so I guess maybe FH's less political-ness is more the norm.
Ultimately, though, we do agree on the major issues, we just don't agree on how to get to that resolution.

No problem! I would say that my FH and I generally agree on politics - he is more focused on the economy and i'm more driven by what I guess you'd call social issues. . .

we have pretty much the same opinions on things.......but it really doesnt matter all that much to me.....everyone believes what they believe for a reason

i wish! it would make life so much easier...
he is slowly beginning to 'see the light'. he contradicts himself through his actions and words and i point it out along the way. although he is a registered democrat, he sounds like an ignorant republican (not saying republicans are ignorant, just that he sounds like one). once we debate i usually crush him. i think it stems from him wanting to be totally idealistic and me slapping some reality in his face...
men also tend to see things as black and white. it's when they start seeing gray they grow up...
we will both vote for KERRY!!!!!!

We agree mostly
What ever we don't agree on he has very little to add. Further, He can't vote and therefore what he thinks or doesn't think means very little.
I know that sounds harsh but one of the things we MOST agree about is if you don't vote, shut up!
There's nothing from keeping him to become an American Citizen but a little test which he knows he can pass. So if you're not going to pledge to my country and/or you're not going to take the time to vote, I don't really give a damn how much you disagree with me.
Thankfully, he agrees with just about all we discuss and brings up great points. We're on the same page.

He is more passionate than I, but being with him has made me more active and aware of the importance of being involved. Last week we were up until 3am talking vehemently about our DEEP desires to see Bush out of office. It's great to share our opinions on specifics with one another, and learn from each other as we go. I look forward to many more years of it!

We actually belong to the same party and have the same views but even if we didn't, I would still be with him.

I totally agree with you regarding the pleasure in being able to discuss politics (among other things) with FH and looking forward to more conversations in the years to come. I'm much more the political nerd in my relationship, and while i'm sure FH would wish i'd stop talking about politics every now and again, I relish that we can learn from each other.
(i should say that I'd agree with your point even if you didnt want to see Bush defeated - but since you're a Kerry supporter, lemme just say KERRY/EDWARDS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!
