KITTEN NEEDS HOME...PLEASE HELP!!

A lady my sister works with found a kitten and was going to take it to Bide A Wee. My sister took it from her cuz she didn't want it put to sleep. When she took it to the vet for it's first set of shots, he tested positive for feline leukemia. Since they have eight cats already, they can't keep him as he might infect one of them. He needs a home with no other cats. He will live a normal life, it's just that if he infected an adult cat it might get sick. Please help us find a home for him. Right now he is locked up in my sister's bedroom. He is absolutely the sweetest thing. He is thirteen weeks old and is completely litter boxed trained. He loves people and is very playful. My sister will pay for the rest of his shots and also to get him neutered. Please let me know if you are interested.

bide a wee is a no kill shelter - so the cat would be safe there - dont think it is a good idea for it to be in the house with the other cats - fiv spreads really easily -
try another no kill shelter like save a pet or north shore animal league

Just be careful, because no kill shelters will still put down an animal who is sick...ie, with Leukemia. Be sure to ask that particular shelter their policy on fel. leuk kittens.

That kitten is beautiful....can you tell me a little bit more about the leukemia? I have never had a cat before and might be interested....but I am not sure how serious of an ailment that is.
