Homeowners insurance ...how much do you pay???

What company and how much???

just curious...got two extremely different quotes today..one for 1600 and one for 750!!!!

Have a approx. 1,200 square feet ranch...

haha! oops! i assumed she meant insurance but then you wrote about that carpet. well, to clarify.....my number was for insurance.

Jess we found all state was insanely cheaper than everyone else!!!!

Also we switched our auto insurance to them also and that was A LOT less than we were paying with Nationwide and we have clean licenses! But the difference you are hearing we did to and it made me go but I questioned them and everything was fine!!

we pay 325 a year from geico but we have both been geico customers for years so i think they gave us a break..

Hi,
From Allstate, we just got a quote for $770 (and that's for a townhouse- does that sound pretty high?) I just switched to Allstate for my auto insurance but the guy told me that I have to be with them for 6 months in order to pick up the home insurance (some hurricane policy that just recently went into affect on limiting the # of new policy holders. ???)
Anyone know anything about this?

I read in Consumer Digest that the All State wasn't accepting any new customers in certain states, didn't think NY was one of them.

Allstate, we pay about $850 for an approx 2700 square foot home. We have auto through them too.

We found Allstate incredibly more reasonable than others. After we got our homeowners, we switched our auto to them as well. Plus my e-ring rider.

My agent is in Huntington if you want her number. She's great and I found her very responsive. She always calls back promptly!

no we do not have auto thru them. just homeowners and personal property (rings)
they were the best deal out there though.

we got our quote from state farm for 937, then we got alstates quote which was lot less until i realized it wasnt offering the same covg, raised it to the same covg as state farm and came up with 850 i believe... with a 500 deductable.. 1,000.ded would save like 150.... we actually decided to go with state farm since us both being claims examiners have experienced better service with state farm.

$685.00 for 1600 square feet ranch and we added on cesspool overflow, and china and stuff for and extra $30.00 its the delux policy. AND a different agent from the SAME store wanted to charge us $880. BEFORE adding on the extras. Its from Allstate and yes they come up with an amount based on your credit score...
