Ok.. so, I am idiot who didn't order enough save the dates.. or rather, I would rather send them to my friends then to people over 85 that live in Miami who will probably not come anyway. And my parents didn't care if I sent the STDs to their OOT friends..
SO, I came up with an idea to do an OOT mailing.. which will act as a STD of sorts.. I want to put the hotel info in there, as well as restaurant ideas if some come in on Friday night, stuff to do on Saturday before the wedding, car service for airport, etc.
Anyone do something like this? Have any cute ideas, or something already written up with fun Nassau County activities??
Thanks!!

Re: OOT Mailing
that's actually a cute idea.. Yes, FH is a computer guy, but I am the 'designer'.. I can whip something up in photoshop.. and I like that idea cause then it can 'announce' the wedding-- so, people can think it is a STD...
Then there is the travel section, dining out, weekend guide..

Re: OOT Mailing
we are doing a newsletter. Typed up a simple template in Word with the sections and colums, like a newspaper. Had the:
Letter from the Editors (us) Travel and Leisure Weather Business (hotel Accomodations) Dining
and a few others...
It came out really cute, I don't have a scanner or I would post it.
It was 3 pages, and then we have to find a way to affix the STD magnet. It's a cute and creative way to let everyone know whats going on.

Exactly and you can do little sections on fashion -- what the girls are wearing, garden, your flowers, travel, honeymoon destination....

Re: OOT Mailing
Ok-- just put this together-- still need to add pics and content.
Now I am thinking why the hell I spent $300 bucks on my STDS!! I still love them though-- but I am so pleased with how this is turning out!! Now I really don't feel bad for not sending all these people 'official' Stds.
