Ivory dress to a wedding? POLL
This is for a friend of mine who is coming to my wedding, she bought an ivory dress. I don't know if I care or not... just for argument's sake... can you please vote in the poll? TIA

I wouldnt care..
depends on the style of the dress. If it's strapless with a big bottom, then she shouldn't wear it. But I wore a satin plain dress to a friends wedding and it was okay... clearly not trying to compete with the bride. Had nothing on it. Just a plain dress. No poofy skirt or anything. (Kind of like a slip dress)
well unfortunately, you don't really have any control over the guests attire. But Mommy - you're allowed! Ha!
as long as it's not a full blown gown i wouldn't care. She may feel silly though.
If she hasn't bought the dress already...and she's asking, then I would probably say no, truthfully. As a guest I wouldn't EVER wear ivory or white to a wedding unless the bride and groom specified it was a 'white wedding.' That's just me, though--I'm old school and think the only person in white/ivory should be the bride.
i personally wouldnt wear an ivory dress to a wedding BUT since it is your friend and she is asking you about YOUR wedding- then it really is up to you. I doubt the dress she is wearing will look anything liek a wedding dress - but it really is up to you.
