Hmm.. I am scared I ordered the wrong color dress. This is the email I just sent carole at burtons.. and it should get you guys up to speed. What do I do if she cant change it???

Hi Carole,

I am having a minor dress meltdown moment and I had a couple of questions to ask you that are probably easier explained in writing.

I ordered my dress (maggie sottero chantilly) with you in November for my July 2006 wedding. I know you had said that it probably wouldnt be ordered right away because of the amount of time till the wedding.

Anyway, before I went to you guys I tried the dress on a few times in macy's and it justcame to my attention , because I saw a picture of another bride wearing it, that there is different colors for the lace. I know my dress was ordered as diamond white, but I belive the dress I tried on at macys was diamond white/frosted, meaning the lace had a grey or silver tint to it.

I dont know if it is possible for you to chnage this at this point, and I just am afraid that when the dress comes in it may not be what I invisioned.

What is the sample at your store? frosted or no? I just assumed that when I tried it on at macy;s etc that that is how diamond white looks with the lace.

After all that I hope you understand what Im saying. Maybe I could come in if you have another dress with this frosted lace to see the diff??? I am actually off tomorrow so maybe you could email me back or give me a call to try and figure this out.

Email Maggie sottero (you can get the address at maggiesottero.com). They are really helpful. They sent me pics of my dress by email immediately and a swatch by mail within a few days. They responded really fast and tey will be able to tell you what you ordered will look like!

If they haven't placed the order yet then you should be ok. But if it's in already then I don't think there's anything you can do. When I went shopping once there was a girl trying to do the same thing and they told her they doubted they could do it. I'm really sorry! I hope Maggie can do something for you!!!

Ok so now I need opinions.. DOes anyone know what the 'frost' looks like??

Carole is the BEST ever and she sent me this email back.. but nw I dont know WHAT to do.

Burtons is the BEST!!!!

Hi Jen, Relax . The dress I have in the store is all Diamond white. It
is available with the frost lace to if that is how you want it. I am at
home right now but will be in by 930. Just tell me exactly what color
you want and we will see what we can do. Dont worry I will take care of

heres pics of the dress... The black background pic is one that I originlly sawonline and fell in love with...is that frost???

hmm... too hard to tell from the pic... i think seeing it in person would probably be your best bet!!! Also, from my experiences with Macy's, all the dresses that I tried on were a tad bit dirtier that other places I went to, so the color may be off from that too... go check out the dress in person so you can relax and feel better! Im sure it will take a load off!

I think I really do like the way the frost one 'pops' a bit more. I am very pale (hopefully will be somewhat tan for the big day) but I dont want it to all blend together and wash me out
