the Wedding Center in Commack

Any one using the Wedding Center in Commack? They seem to have very discounted prices because they do everything in packages (Flowers, Photography, Videography, etc.)

Anyone have any feedback about them? or have you heard anything?

I bought my wedding gown there and had a pretty good experience. I worked with Carol and she provided excellent customer service! She was very patient with me (and I was pretty neurotic!).

I actually picked my dress up a few weeks ago, it came in early. I will have it altered with my own seamstress however. I have not heard good things about their alterations.

We got the bridesmaids dresses for my sisters wedding there, as well as my Mom's dress, they carry a lot of designers, and they do have great prices, however, we DID NOT GET THE ALTERATIONS DONE THERE, if you purchase a dress there, get your alterations done elsewhere, I have heard horror stories off of these threads, and a coworker of mine had her a MOH dress altered there, and it was a terrible botch job......
Also, the staff stinks, only one girl there seemed to know what she was doing, the rest of them were really rude, and didn't have a clue. Also, they really push you to order a larger size than what you need, do not let them talk you into it!!!! (I know that bridal party dresses don't run true to size, but check the size charts yourself, don't trust them....)
Great prices though!

I was there a few years ago looking for a BM dress for myself and I didn't like their attitudes.

A few weeks ago I decided to give them a 2nd chance and went in with my mom, MOH, and jrBM to look at BM dresses again. We walked in and got no help at all, we actually had to carry the dresses into the fitting rooms on our own; which everywhere else they do that for you.

Meanwhile while we were there one girl was on the phone arguing with a bride and the other girl was sitting there putting on her make-up. Considering that we're currently looking for BM dresses plus the MOB dress I think they should've been a lil more attentive. They totally missed out on a big sale.

They have a good selection, but I really don't like their customer service!!!

Plus the owner, Bob, really annoys me at the bridal shows. He talks bad about some of the other stores, like David's, and I just think that's unprofessional. Nobody else does that, it's rude!

I had a bad experience with a BM dress there. They were ok when I went to try on and stuff... although it seems they do a lot of sitting around and not a lot of helping people. Alterations were a horror. I know I have posted this before, but i will tell again... I had one fitting, and when I came back to try it on it was HUGE on top, it didn't fit right at all. I told them this and they said, oh no it fits fine you just need double sided tape. So they gave me the tape and I walked out the door with the dress. In retrospect, I should have insisted they fix the dress after I paid the max $$ for alterations. My friend (whose wedding I got the BM dress for) also ordered her gown from there. They called her to say it was in and it was the WRONG Dress!! They sent it back and got the right one, but still! Anyway, I am staying away from Commack Wedding Center, I do not like them.
