Anguilla Honeymoon Pics!
I don't have too many pics because everytime we'd take my camera from the A/C to outside, the lens would fog up!
I have some pics of us swimming with dolphins though that I'll try to scan tomorrow
We stayed at Cap Juluca in Anguilla and it was really amazing. I've never been to the Caribbean before and I could not believe that the water was really just as blue as it is in all the brochures!
Here are some views from the terrace of our villa (it was on the first floor). CJ provides free continental breakfast every morning and they come to your room and set it up on the terrace for you. It was really nice.

The birds really liked us after we threw some pieces of bread out for them (check out the one in mid-flight!):

And another bird who hung out with us while it was raining for about 20 minutes
These are more pictures of Cap Juluca near the water sports area (we were waiting for the boat to take us on a day trip to Scilly Cay -- snorkeling and drinking!
):
This is actually the cove where they took us snorkeling before we went to Scilly Cay for lunch (the crayfish/lobster lunch was out of this world)
Here are some pics from our restaurant excursions
This is Pimms and Kemia, which are at Cap Juluca
This was our view from our table at Blanchard's, a local restaurant that was opened by a couple who moved down to Anguilla from VT. The wife is really nice -- she came out and talked to us for a few minutes. I'm pretty sure she wrote a book about how they opened the restaurant.
This was our view at Strawhat, a really cute and casual restaurant on the island. It was a $50 roundtrip taxi ride, but definitely worth it. The view was amazing (ask for table 6) even though it rained for a bit.
And the 'strawhats' on the walls![]()
We also stopped by Cuisinart, the other main resort in Anguilla, for lunch. They had a really fantastic looking pool and the food was great. They have hydroponic gardens there where they grow most (if not all) of their own vegetables in water, no soil!
And some more pics of Cap Juluca:
Other villas down the row from ours along the beach
Our villa -- beach view (they hadn't cleaned off the table from breakfast yet
). It felt really secluded even though we were on the first floor. There wasn't really anyone sitting in front of our villa on the beach for the most part since the chairs are so spread out. It was great being on the 1st floor. We had a hammock and everything ![]()
