I'm thinking of going to one as a long weekend over the Oct Holiday period. As an anniversary trip.
Thoughts, opinions, reviews welcome
(PS We both aren't big on AC)

Re: Moeghan Sun or Fox Woods?
All my friends back in CT say Mohegan Mohegan Mohegan over Foxwoods.
They all went more than I did, so I don't really know. I've been to each place once. And I don't gamble.
But my friends are all into Mohegan Sun.

Re: Moeghan Sun or Fox Woods?
We're Foxwoods people too. We felt like the table games there had a much more reasonable minimum than Mohegan.
Plus the restaurants at Foxwoods were so much better and nicer staff. Rooms were really nice too.

I KNOW you said you're not big into AC, but look into the tropicana. It's like a glorified Mohegan Sun! They just added a new section last year.
If you call for reservations, check the web first. I found a 'travel zoo' promo, and paid $119 a night!

Re: Moeghan Sun or Fox Woods?
i love Mohegan.. havent been to Foxwoods yet.. but, i hate the table games at Mohgan, so i tend to stick w/ the machines. Im also partial to Hold 'em, and they dont have that at mohegan, but i heard they do at Foxwoods. so i cant vote for foxwoods since ive never been there, but as much as i love Mohegan, i miss playing at the table

exactly why I hate Mohegan! It was dirty and smoke-filled the last time I was there, too.
