UPDATE: gownfind? phyllis? Please read....

I just talked to Phyllis for the first time and she can order me my gown for a few hundred cheaper than the price in other stores...YAY... I haven't met her yet and am going to be measured tomorrow (she doesnt have a sample of the gown i'm ordering though)...

I know I've heard fabulous things about her from you girls on here, but I just want to be sure... is there anything i should know before going? I couldnt find Gownfind on the BBB website and was always a lttle leery about ordering a gown online, but if no one's had problems with her, i'm going to do it...

...also, she said she'd store my dress for me for the few months between when it comes in and the wedding in October... did she do this for anyone else? As I understand it, she works out of her home?

Thanks in advance!

Hope your holidays were wonderful :)

I am using Phyllis. I actually am having my first fitting tomorrow! I ordered my gown from her in April and it came exactly when she said it would. She contacted me immediately to let me know and spent an hour with me just trying on the dress. I went to her house/store and she measured me to ensure that the gown would fit. She totally put me at ease. I would suggest you going to her house/store to order the dress. Any questions, please feel free to FM me!

Many 05ers have used her! Do a search on Brides Review for some more input about her.

I ordered my gown and my bridesmaids gowns through her and she has been terrific! I will also be ordering my MOB gown through her as well.

I ordered my dress through her and she is fabulous. She has a shop off the side of her house and she has a number of gowns/bm dresses/MOB dresses & FG dresses. We went and she was so nice and spent time talking to my mom about her dress and she said she'd keep my dress on hand until our wedding also. She also capped the alterations and saved mega bucks for us. I highly recommend her.

I spoke with Phyllis at length, she is very nice and knowledgeable. She deals directly with the designers I think. But she also wants it kept confidential what buyers/prices she's giving as some of them won't do business with her if they know she's discounting their line. Just an FYI, don't post designer/price. Give her a call and she'll give you all the info. She spent like a half hour on the phone with me and was wonderful!

I ordered my dress through Phyllis in March. It came in in June, and she stored it until we started doing alterations in August.

She was very easy to work with, gave a great price, did a wonderful job with the alterations. I was very pleased with the service I received from her.

I used Phyllis for my dress. Everything went very smoothly. she got it for me for $500 less than the store. i also ended up buying my slip, bra, veil, and necklace from her. she was fabulous. she has a small shop in the basement of her house. i went there, she fitted me, she ordered the dress and it came in exactly when she said and was perfect. she did keep it there for me in the months in between so that was nice too. i wouldn't consider buying from Phyllis like 'buying a wedding gown on the internet', she is an actual bridal shop, just in her house. i would recommend her definitely. good luck!

Hi! I used phyllis for alterations but as far as getting a dress, had I known about her sooner I definitely would've went through her. She is so knowledgble and reasonably priced there really is no reason not to!

As long as you have the correct style number and you are sure of the dress you are ordering I 100% recommend phyllis!! My friend just bought a dress from her a couple of weeks ago and I personally know the 05 girls that have bought through her!

Good luck!

I used her and loved her. I got my BM dresses, my shoes, BM shoes, 6 handbags, veil and slip. She is the lowest price around. My girls dresses were $80 and the shoes were around $30. Also the handbags were under $20 and my veil and slip were under $50. Gotta love a deal. She also did my alterations and my bustle was so awesome. I loved it so much. I would use her again in a hearbeat.

BM Dresses - Sorry not full length

I just went for my first fitting on Saturday. Phyllis spent so much time with me! I ordred my veil and bra from her also. My sister is having her alterations done by Phyllis and will be purchasing her shoes and bras from her as well.

I am also using Phyliss she made me feel so comfortable when I went to her home to be measured. I am sure she will do a great job.

Actually when I was there someone was there from Westchester getting a dress fixed that she ruined at a wedding or something.

She came all the way from upstate to have Phyliss fix her dress!!
