SPLITTING FLORISTS- Have any of you ever......

Split vendors.....

(Examples: Have one do your bok's only and then have the other ones do your cp's.)

If you, please let me know what your experience was.

If you like please post which two florists you used.

If you do a search, you will find a couple of brides that have done this. I can't remember who it is that won her bridal bo-k at a showcase, and then hired a different florist to do everything else.

i know some halls include your center pieces... my friend had to use the florist that came with the hall, but choose her own florist for the bo-ks

I have never heard of this...some halls do your CP but I have never heard of a Bride actually hiring 2 seperate companies herself

I am considering doing this as well. I am not getting married in LI so I want my flowers for me and the girls from a place near my house. The centerpieces I will do someplace in LI.

My hall had the centerpieces included so I did the personal flowers w/ another florist. It worked out fine.

I split my florist.

I did it because my hall included CPs and because I needed a BoK florist that would deliver the personal flowers really, really early in the morning.

I found my CP florist to be very difficult to work with; looking back, I would have preferred to give all the business to the BoK florist.

I split my flowers only because I live in SI and I wanted my bo-k's to be there on time. I used Pedestals in Howard beach for my CP's and I was not a happy bride on my wedding day

Havent done it yet-but we are going to-we are both getting ready in Holbrook and the ceremony and reception are in Westbury/Carle Place

Figured it would be a little easier to do it this way

sorry-I dont get on here much....We were going to go with Flower Michele for the hall and church and James Cress for the Bok and Bouts

It makes me feel a little safer as far as flowers not dying to do it this way. Our church is in Westbury and the hall is in Carle Place...we are both getting ready in Holbrook. Makes me nervous to have Flower Michele drive soooooo far to bring us our flowers

I had to because my ceremony was in NJ. Luckily, Laurie from LA Blossom gave me all kinds of pics to give to my local florist. It helped a lot, but the local guy still managed to do poor quality and all of his flowers were dead before the end of the night.
