Need a little help with reception sites

Hey all:
My sister is getting married, and she has asked me to help as the MOH. She is going to have a pretty small reception of only about 50 people including the BP. Both our family and her FI family are very small & many of the older relatives are either OOT or overseas & will most likely not be able to make it.
Where can I find a reception hall for 50 people? She wants to get married Columbus day weekend, but would be willing to marry on Columbus day itself if it means she could get a lower minimum guarrantee.

TIA

The Metropolitan in Glen Cove has a club downstairs and it is so beautiful! I WISH i could have my wedding down there. Very glamorous and cozy. I've seen people set it up for all different kinds of occasions. I've seen small wedding receptions and themed birthday parties - it's a great space. If you want the BEST food and a cozy but upscale atmoshpere I would check them out. I don't know too much about price but they are reasonable. Check them out at The Metropolitan

This is a picture of the club. On the back wall where you see that arched plush looking wall is actually a door into another room that has more seating area and a stage for a ceremony or a band.

I have booked the George Washington Manor in Roslyn. They have several banquet rooms from 15 to 150 people. I did not want to book a 'restaurant type' location.

They also have a chapel with a bridal suite upstairs.

You can check their website and they have some pics of their premises.

Lombardi's on the sound has an upstairs room for smaller parties.
Also, maybe george washington manor or the three village inn might do smaller weddings, not sure though..

Maybe the Old Field Club? I also would suggest the George Washington Manor. I have been there for an engagement party and a baby shower, and it is such a beautiful place!

The Meadow Club is also really pretty. My friend got married there a few years ago and she had about 70-75 people. I tas really nice and cozy, and the food was pretty good.

The Old Field Club is up in East Setauket (technically Old Field but they have the same zip code). It's really nice, especially the view of the water - here's their link: Old Field Club

The Swan Club has a nice room that holds small weddings. I am not sure of the minimum, but give them a call ! !
