they measure you from your neck to your waist - then your waist to your hem. its for us short gals
my dress couldnt be hemmed normally bc of the beadwork on the bottom and waist - so I had to do this - the manufacturer gets your hollow to hem measurement and makes the dres as such.

Re: hollow to hem?
it means the hollow of your neck (that little gulley in the middle of your collar bones)... all the way down to your natural hem!

Re: hollow to hem?
they make the dress to your height measurement...so they measure you, then the designer manufactures the dress to those specs...and any alterations that are needed should only be the fit, not the length...

Re: hollow to hem?
oh so the hollow to hem is just a measurement. I got scared i thought they would start cutting length off etc, which is bad then because theres a lot of beadwork on the bottom. so if the hollow to hem measurement is done correctly, then the only alterations needed should be just taking dress in, etc. correct?

Hmmm...that i don't know! I would say the shoes definitely....not sure about the bra...i guess it depends if they measure you in the sample or not...i would ask the place you are ordering it from to be certain :)

No, just your shoes that you will be wearing on your wedding day. All undergarments need to be with you at your first fitting
