Update: Flowerfield Review PostedFlowerfield Brides.......
I am going to Flowerfield tomorrow night for my cousins wedding. Besides the service and taste of food, what else would you ladies like me to look out for? I will give a mini review either Saturday or next week as I am extremely busy this weekend.
I've been to this place 2 years ago but in all honesty, i only remember their grounds were beautiful!
REVIEW:
My cousin got married this past Friday at a church in Commack. Her reception was held at Flowerfield. This is a mini-review of some Flowerfield and a few of her vendors.
FLOWERFIELD - This place is so beautiful b/c of its manicured grounds. The food was amazing and the waitstaff was excellent. I cannot tell you how many times they folded my napkin during the course of dinner. The cocktail hour was very good as well. For dinner I had the bourbon fliet mignon steak which was very tasty. My sister-in-law had the pork chop and she said it was very good. My brother had the sea bass and also enjoyed that. I thought the cake was very good which i think was by Lovin Oven but I am not sure. I am unsure if the bride & groom were able to take pictures outside as it was raining on and off. I heard someone say that they could not take pictures outside but I could be wrong. I've been to Flowerfield about 2 years ago and I remember being able to go outside and hangout at it was nice that day. That was the only downfall being it rained this day. Oh, one thing I want to tell you ladies is when FH and I walked into the reception room, we could not see the table numbers b/c they were extremely low and were hiding behind the wine glasses. I would advise you to see if they can post the table #'s higher. We totally walked across the room and then found out we were the first table as soon as you walk through the doors. That was my only real complaint.
BODY HEAT (BAND) - This band is excellent. The brides brother used this band a few years ago for his wedding and everyone could not stop talking about them back then. They really are a great band and it makes me regret not looking into a band as I booked a DJ for my own wedding.
DUET PHOTOGRAPHY- I knew this is the photographer she was using just by looking at them. All I can say is that they were not obtrusive at all. They did come around to each table for a table picture and seemed pretty friendly. I know there was a time that I saw the photographer leaning up against the bar for a few minutes like he had nothing to take pics of. That kind of worried me but all in all, I am sure he had taken a lot already.
LOVIN OVEN FLORIST- I believe this is who she used as I saw the van leaving the church. The flowers looked BEAUTIFUL! The roses seemed so large and gorgeous.
LOVIN OVEN BAKERY? - I believe this is who baked the cake and if so, they did a wonderful job as the cake was very good.
I have to say, I took a lot of pics but mainly of the bride & groom and the families. I would post them but honestly, I do not like posting pics of people who do not know that they will be on a public site. I hope you ladies understand.
All in all, we had a really wonderful time. If you are getting married at Flowerfield, you are in good hands.
