Floral Terrace mini review by popular demand

So I went to a big fat Greek wedding on Sunday at the Floral Terrace and I have to say it was absolutely....

OUTSTANDING!

We entered FT and picked up our placecards which were bells. We took the elevator up to the 2nd floor [it's really not fun walking up flights of stairs in 4.5' heels.]
So we were at the CH which was great! They had a pretty awesome tuscan table which I barely picked at. They had a fajita station, pasta station, duck wrap thingie & dumpling station, carving station, suckling pig, some greek foods [not much though, surprisingly] and honestly had alot more. I really can't remember it all, was sooooo much though and it all was pretty good!

So we go up to the 3rd floor to the ballroom afterwards and it was set up beautifully. They had a greek band so I have no idea what the name was, but they were great.

The appetizer plate was an array of tomato&mozz, eggplant, peppers, asparagus & stuff like that. Was pretty good.

The salad was AWESOME. Im assuming it was a pear salad bc it had that funky color pear on it, with an amazing dressing & pignoli nuts all over it

The pasta was Penne Primavera- had aspargus & mushrooms in it.. MMMMM tasted just like my moms! And that's very hard to compete with

The intermezzo was lemon sorbet. BUT it didnt come out in a dish, or in a lemon, or anything typical. It came out on a CONE! They looked like little ice cream cones! It was soooo flippin cute! Definatly a nice unique touch!

Then- dun dun dunnnnn- my entree! The selection was Salmon, Filet mignon, stuffed chicken, stuffed shrimp, surf & turf, and Rack of Lamb. I'm a loser and NEVER order steak anywhere even though I really should So I ordered the stuffed chicken. I knew I was taking a chance because Ive ordered stuffed chicken at several places and alot of the time, the filling is
Anyhow- this entree came out and there was not only 1 HUGE ball of chicken, but TWO! It was frigggginnnn delicious! The gravy on top, the filling, the chicken, EVERYTHING was really REALLY tasty. I could only eat like 1/4 of 1 though Wish I had that for lunch today...

So my FH ordered the surf & turf and loved that too. Most our table got the filet and THAT was AMAZING! Such a better cut than the turf from FH's entree. [But his was really good too]

Cake- I'm not sure if it was ordered outside of FT or not, but it was OK. The cake itself was moist and tasty. The filling was chocolate moose. Im not a huge fan of choc. moose, so thats why the cake only gets an 'OK'...

oh and our waitress was really on point with everything. Always refreshing the water & drinks, napkins, etc... My friend was pretty much hitting on her and being a major ball-buster and she took it with grace & was still serving us So service for our table was AWESOME!

So at this point I could barely see straight and FH was on to his 2nd bottle of vino... The Vienesse hour was in the area right outside the ballroom. That was a reDONKulous VH. They had pretzels, cotton candy, sno-cones, alot of Greek pastries, cookies, cakes GALORE, an ice cream bar, demitasse bar [more shots for me] and sooooo much more I cant even remember. OH and the mandatory chocolate fountain bar & bananas foster & strawberry bar with waffles.... I can keep going for hours but I wont bore you to tears any longer.

Overall the wedding was OUTSTANDING & all FT & SC brides have NOTHING to worry about. It was truly AMAZING food and I'm a major critic.

My only complaints-

-The valet guys pulled our car out after 10-15 minutes of us waiting and left it in the middle of the block so I had to walk halfway down in a Lazaro evening gown and horrid shoes, drunk & soaking wet in the rain. This valet company shouldve had 300000 umbrellas to escort the guests to their cars in rain. And maybe could've waited for the block to clear up before letting us walk 1/2way through Floral Park in the rain
Not a real FT complaint though, as it was the Valet Company's doing...

I hope this was helpful to any brides who have FT or SC as a prospect. And I hope it was relieving to any near-future FT brides! It will be beautiful!

Thank you so much for posting this, what a thorough review!!! That really stinks about the valet but thanks for also pointing out the negative - can't wait for my wedding in November!!

Sounds GREAT!!!!! I sometimes still think my FH and I should have booked FT (we would have saved a lot of money too!), because I hear such great things. But we didn't feel so comfy in our meeting with the BM so it turned us off. Good to hear they do a great job!!!
