Hello ladies, I am having a very tough time trying to finalize my color scheme. I have already picked my BM dress and at least two people have ordered it, however I am having the order put on hold untill i can finalize a color.
I had originally wanted blue dresses, with silver shoes and blue and silver/ivory accents and flowers.
Well the original blue seems really hard to match. So i was thinking of either switching to a differant blue dress or getting the girls dresses in black.
These are the dresses.
Can you please post photos of Blue/Black bridal parties? OR Flowers/Accents that would go well with these dress colors? The first one is my original pick the second is black(obviously) the third is the OTHER blue i like

Hmmm....I hear what you're saying. It MIGHT be easier to do black and do the blue accents....
But honestly, I LOVE the color of the original dress. Really love it.

I like the first color the best! It's not one that you see a lot of.....very pretty!

That is why i really liked it! It's similar to some popular shades, but not quite it. I love that. But i can't for the life of me figure out what color flowers i can use!
Do you think Pink Roses would be too 'baby shower'ish?

Wellllllllll - it doesnt have to be all matchy matchy. You can do different shades that are still in the same family.
You know what I'd do? I'd add more colors to your color scheme if you want to use that blue. That way you have a lot of stuff in a few different colors, not just concentrating on that one single color. Does that make sense?

yes! it makes tons of sense. that's actually what i'm trying to do. I don't want it to match perfectly and be the same color, but i want things that don't clash with it... you know?
i like the idea of pinks... b/c i know they work well together, but i'm worried that it'll look like a baby shower

Here are some of the dress ideas I am going for and flower ideas too! We are doing Cream roses with blue & magenta mini orchids with some accent Alstromerias mixed in!

Maybe add some of those pale green accents? I don't know, but I'm sure a florist could find something you could add for color to compliment it. Maybe peach roses?

I went through the same thing with colors, I also had my dresses on hold and I changed the colors twice! (ended up with the original).
One thing that helped me was ask the store for swatches of the colors you like and then bring it to a florist (I just went to one or two in my neighborhood) and show them the swatch and ask for ideas. That really helped me decide!

At the Fortunoff GNO Mindy Weiss (celebrity wedding planner) said that blues and platinum were hot colors for '08. Maybe you can incorporate those two together and do ivory flowers?

The first dress was going to be our dress! I LOOOOOVE it! in that color and everything! but i couldnt find a junior bm dress that matched it good enough so we switched. magenta might be a nice accent! thanks for the idea

Yes...platinum is the same as silver. The ivory will definitely stand out against the blue. For your center pieces you may want to include blue hydrangeas.
