We did the following:
- Silk flowers instead of real - saved over 2grand
- pick up and drop off limo service instead of a 3 or 6 hour package - saved over a grand
- Buy centerpieces on ebay
- find a photographer that does not specifically do weddings but has done them. We cut that cost down to 1500 vs 3000
-go on a honeymoon a month after the wedding so the cost isnt so great up front saved over a grand
-we purchased inexpensive plain wedding bands instead of going all out - saved over a grand

DH and I FAUGHT tooth and nail on this one. He didn't see the point of spending so much on flowers when they're going to die!

Invitations!! The ones I orginally wanted were $1200, but I setteled on $450 ones to help save money!! For the most part, people just throw them away!

bathroom baskets

cut out flowers ( honestly i thoguht about silk and it really doesnt save you THAT much)
Keep in mind you DONT have to spend a fortune to get great service!! i have 100% faith in my vendors and i am paying ALOT LESS than most brides
Check ebay for things such as your veil, favors, all little things like that , BMS gifts,parents gifts everything.
Research everything and dont be afraid to negotiate with vendors....if you think they can do better on the price ask them!! worst they can say is no!!
u dont need a venitian hour....so if u want one i would cut that out!

I booked all my vendors through wedding world and saved soooooooooooooooooo much $$!!!!!!!!! much cheaper than if i booked them all seperate and i shopped around alot!!!!. If you need anythign feel free to FM me!

go to Barrons and gte your veil and heapeice- it will save you alot!
Use a coach bus instead of limos or cut limos entirely and drive.
Flowers- get flowers in season and do candles as CP
as far as the bathroom basket- unless your hall does it for you, i think this one is a must!...everything else is extra
You can always just use the hall's resources (direction cards and place cards)
Also- invitations you can get at Michaels or Costco or just DIY.
Do a buffet instead of sit down dinner for reception
