Duet Studios - negotiate?

My sister and I are going to meet with them next week. Were you able to negotiate with them at all?

did they throw in anything extra? Did they come down in price?

we did as far as throwing in Epics, extra dvds, an extra chapter in our video, oh and i think on price for over time

but the price they had was good and pretty close to others we had checked out.

I'm using Duet also. They have a few packages to choose from and they will work with you to throw some minor things in, but they don't really drop the price at all.

I think the package I chose was for 10 hours and I need them for 12. They gave me those 2 extra hours for no extra cost.

I think I only got the engagement session thrown in...which is $300 extra. I wish I also negotiated on the raw footage of the video which is $100 more. When I first went and was extremely overwhelmed they offered their package with the family albums (i think it is 700 more or so...it was so long ago) for the price without family albums. I needed to make the decision right then and I wasnt ready to do so. Maybe that will happen to you. Good Luck.

I was also able to put in my contract which photographer I wanted.

they did with me....I got e-pics...that was 1 thing i wasnt gonna back down on. Than I got more TY cards,Upgraded my album to a bigger and better 1. Threw in an hour or so...ahhhhh got 90 pics in my album vs the 60 I was supposed to get. Got a leather DVD Case for our video...

so yes you can get Eric to throw things in....the price he wont change but freeies u will get

im using duet as well!!! the prices are really good there... so you won't need to neg. too much.. esp for the QUALITY OF WORK.. however.. if you mention that there are certain things you want.. (i.e. engagement session, extra pics in your album, etc) Eric will throw them in.. most likely for no cost (as long as you are booking a pretty solid package with them)

WE are getting the 2 photographers.. and i love the fact that we get the DVD of proofs prob around 2000 taken ... and we own that forever
