debismom just reminded me...OPINION needed!!

there is the guy FH was friends with...and i really don't like him...but he was a good friend of FH so we sent him a save the date.

well every time i see him he treats me like sh!t and i don't get it b/c i have always tried to be really nice to him. he just acts like i'm beneath him and i feel like it's incredibly disrespectful. he also does drugs which i really have a problem with.

i have tried not to make a big deal about FH being friends w him, but at a company party the kid kicked a box at my head when i was walking down a flight of stairs and when i turned around in shock he said '(my FH) tought me everything i know' as if to say my FH would love to kick a box at me or something?! i was so upset. that was the last straw, i told FH i really can't stand him being friends w this guy b/c he is always so disrespectful to me. so FH has stopped hanging out w him outside of work.

BUT...we sent him a STD...so is it really bad that now i don't want him at my wedding? am i allowed to not send him an invitation? and here's another problem: a girl FH works w who is invited to the wedding has been dating this a-hole on and off...so what if i don't invite him but she wants to bring him?!

ughhh...i really hate this guy.

thanks...i need to hear other people say it's ok not to invite him. i feel like it's a rule that if you send a STD you HAVE to invite the person. but i would be so upset all day every time i saw his face.

there is no reason why someone who makes you upset to see their face should be invited to the most special day of your life. Screw that a-hole. I cant believe he kicked something at your head. Im glad your FH has you rback about it.

wow what a jerk!!!! dont invite him. if FH has to see him at work tell him he can blame you!!! and also have him talk to the other girl who you might invite and let her know that he is not welcome!!!

This might be a tough call, How close is this a**hole w/ FH, and how close is he with the girl in his office?

You need to put your foot down w/ FH and not invite someone like to YOUR big day!

I say don't invite any of them! That's not cool how that jerk treats you! Does FH say anything to him about it?

I remember a while back a bride (don't remember her name, sorry!) wrote about how she had invited work friends to her E-party and couldn't invite them to her wedding because they were dirty dancing (like extremely explicit that offended everyone) at her E-party . Her family had been horrified and she couldn't invite them to the wedding because of their bad behavior.

I think this is a similar situation. I think it's grounds for NOT inviting someone if they exhibit highly inappropriate, insulting, or abusive behavior. Throwing a box at your head definitely qualifies. Your wedding will be better without him.
