Yayyy we found a place!!

I changed my ceremony time to 2:30 (reception starts at 6:30) to be able to take pictures at Old Westbury Gardens... well they just called me and told me there will be a car show there on the day of my wedding so no photography allowed. My invitations have already gone to print

Can anyone suggest another location that's somewhere between Hicksville and Mineola???? We have sooo much time, and I really want to take some great pictures


Has anyone been to Eisenhower park? is it nice there??


ETA: I just got off the phone with Joyce from the Planting Fields in Oyster Bay, they have our day and time and it's only $120!!!!!!!!! I'm actually happy now that OWG didn't haveo ur date... that just saved me $380, and the place is still beautiful!! YAY!

well, it's not really in between but it's not to far away either...
you can try Oheka, or Sands Point, or the Vanderbilt
you have enough time that going to those places should be okay.

Eisenhower park is great, it's a park, I go there all the time, but I never thought about it for pictures. That doesn't mean it's not good for them though.

what about the Gazebo in Garden City?? There's not too much space but I see wedding pictures being taken almost every weekend there and it makes for some nice ones!
Its at the end of Stewart Avenue in GC and its free to use..the only thing is sometimes there is another wedding there the same time, so you kinda have to wait around..the only stinky part. but its really nice

Eisenhower Park has some nice areas. What about going down Wantagh Parkway to Ocean Parkway? There are a lot of beaches around there.

If not, maybe Adelphi, SUNY Old Westbury or Hofstra has somewhere?
