Hi Girls! Has anyone stayed @ these islands at the Hyatt, or know anything about them? Basically I would like to know if we get anything additional for being on our honeymoon.

Re: Maui & Kauai Hyatt
I've stayed at both Hyatts twice.
In Kauai - they will send a bottle of champagne up to your room on your second day, a free dessert at one of their restaurants and a cabana rental at the beach (which we didn't use) that's really about it.
In Maui - you will get a bottle of champagne, a photo album, a discount on spa services and you get to go to the 'newlywed' cocktail party if you're there on a Monday night.
That's really about it.

I have been to the one on Maui...it is amazing! I was not there for my honeymoon but they treat you so well! The hotel is beautiful...parrots and penguins in the lobby. I highly recommend

Re: Maui & Kauai Hyatt
I stayed at the Sheraton on Maui my first trip over there. It was very nice - the beach at the Sheraton is actually on one of the best beaches on Maui. The beach at the Hyatt isn't as nice and DH and I drove or walked over to snorkel at Black Rock there.
I personally prefer the Hyatt because I love the look of the hotel.
Just a bit of caution though - when we were at the Hyatt in Nov/Dec they said they were renovating the whole thing. I don't know when they are supposed to start doing the rooms, but they had already redone the poolside restaurant/bar and were going to be starting the lobby area soon.

They weren't renovating in Mid-January when I was there, but they didn't mention it either. Anyway, loved the hotel, absolutely beautiful. I definitely agree the beach isn't nice but the pool is great and its separated from the kid pool which I liked. But the beach at the Westin is nice and thats just a short walk.

Ok, thanks.. useful info!! I also read in older threads about girls staying in condos.. renting them through an owner.. the FH and I have done this in Orlando and it worked out great. I wonder if we should look into it for Hawaii?
