Vendor RANT!!! (Sorry so long)

Vendor RANT!!! (Sorry so long)

After seeing so many good reviews on here, I decided to have my envelopes printed by Inkspun. All went well at first (but doesn't it always lol). I originally contacted the owner, Bill, a few weeks ago, to ask about the process and what I had to do. He immediately sent me a bunch of fonts to pick from and said once I had decided, to email him my guest list and my font choice and he would send me a sample print size to make sure I liked it on my envelopes. (Never happened, but no biggie there). He then formatted my guest list and sent it back to me for any corrections and additions - I had one addition and a few corrections, that I emailed back to him right away. I sent him my envelopes so that he would have them by last Friday (7/22). I called him the day I sent them and told him he would have them the next day - he assured me I would have my envelopes back by this past Thurs,or Fri at the lastest (7/28 - 29) (The website says 48 hour turn around time). I also emailed him requesting confirmation that he received my envelopes - never received a response. So, when this Fri came and I still didn't have my envelopes back, I called him and he got a little attitude saying it had been a busy week - OK, so at least let me know what's going on, please! He said my envelopes would go out on Saturday and I would have them on Tues of this week - not great because FH and I are going away on Wed., but at that point I didn't think I had much of a choice. Except that on Saturday, FH was going to be in the same area as where Inkspun is located so asked if he could go pick them up - I was so happy!!! I called Bill Saturday at 1:30 to see if he had mailed the envelopes back yet and asked if FH could just pick them up - only to be told they STILL weren't even done. I was like, 'when are you mailing them - if its later today, that basically means they're not really going in the mail until Monday, now!' Then FH called him and said he would be there to pick them up at 3:30 and to have them ready (and after a whole lot of attitude from Bill), they were. And when FH got there and asked for the extra envelopes back, Bill gave him a hard time, saying what if we have any changes or additions - yeah, like we'd ask him to do them! So last night we finally get to stuffing the envelopes so they could be mailed this morning - and although the printing looks really nice, he never made the changes that I made to the guest list and emailed to him more than a week before he got around to printing them!!!! So, one person's envelope wasn't even printed and the ones that had errors (wrong zip codes) were printed incorrectly. UGH!!! I know a lot of people have raved about Inkspun, and I was so happy to find a service that was inexpensive and seemed to be so responsive to what I needed and wanted. But after this past week, I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone!

Thanks. I think I'll be able to fix the problems - we have very few extra invites/envelopes because we keep adding people to the list, but I have enough to hand write out the one address that was completely wrong on a new envelope and another for the one that he never even printed. The zip code issues were that they were completely left off a couple of them - so I'll just have to write them in, and a couple are missing the last number of the zip code, so again, I can just write it in. One inside envelope had the wrong name, so that person just got a blank inside envelope - but he's a 20 year old guy, so I doubt he'll even notice I just thought that by using this service I was avoiding these problems
