Party review of Verdi's of westbury, Wild Rose etc......

I know this is not a wedding review but many of the “wedding” vendors were used and I hope it helps some brides out there.

This was my Twin cousins’ Sweet 15 (Like a Sweet 16 but Latino’s celebrate 15). Similar to a Bat Mitvah.

Verdi’s of Westbury, 8.5. I really think you can have a beautiful wedding here if the flowers and décor are done right. It is a nice hall and it’s great for the price. Food is REALY deleicous. We had buffet style- many, many choices and delicious. We had open bar, top shelf. The bartenders were a bit rude but great drinks.


Flowers, Flower Michele Florist 10!!- Again, truly outdid himself. My family fell in love with him from day one and now he is our official “family” florist for any and all occasions. He is an angel and he continues to shine in his work. All the table arrangements looked fabulous.


Invitations, candy bars, sign in book, favors (candles and incense holders with incense). Laura from LA Productions, 10!!- Laura is amazing. She is so patient and creative that it is such a pleasure to work with her. Everything matched perfectly and we received many compliments!!!!!

Video, Wild Rose Video, 10!!- Marie is SUCH a sweet heart!!!!!!! I Love this woman!!!!!!!! Her son video taped the party but she made a guest appearance and I am so happy to have FINALLY met her. Her business is so popular b/c she is so amazing. No sales tactics or gimmicks, just honesty and great videos. I recommend them and the family can’t wait to see the video!!!!!

DJ- 10!!They used the same DJ I had for my wedding. Again, if you want the info. FM me. HE IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!! They used a different MC and I was much happier with mine.

Dresses- They used BM dresses from Bridal garden in Bethpage, 10. Great dresses, great prices, great alterations.


We had a lot of little touches that made the day which can carry over to weddings. If you are having little girls the following is a cute idea. They had a seamstress make replicas of their dresses to give out to the little girls. They came out fantastic. You can do that with your wedding dress.


THANK YOU TO ALL THE LIW VENDORS!!!! You have proven your diversity and professionalism yet again. I look forward to working with all of you in the near future.

Shamma- It's the 2 girls in the tiaras.

One word, WOW, 15 yro are so much more mature these days. The dolls and everything look so nice. Great job on the planner's part.

Was this a surprise for them or did they know all the details? Roger's niece had a celebration like this when she turned 16, they had boys and girl like GM & BM. The girls wore dresses like bm's dresses and the boys had the matching cumberband, and she (the niece) was in a mini wedding dress. It was like a mini wedding. Must be really nice to have something like this. How many people were in attendance???

Shamma- it was very, very similar to what Roger's niece seems to have had but my cousins opted not to have the guys in the cumberbunds. It was exactly like a mini wedding and basically me and their mother planned it all. There were about 175 people.

How will she top the wedding, that is a lot of people. Thanks

Was the party this past Saturday? I was there in the afternoon to show my 2 friends the hall. Was it in the Starlight room?

Sooooo happy you said the food was good. Did they make the cake? How was it? They don't do cake testings

If it was held in the Starlight room did you feel overcroweded with 175 guests?

What's up with the bartenders? You can FM me if you don't feel comfortable talking about it on the boards.

So far I like the place. Mike is the mgr we are dealing with. HE was so nice Satruday. He chatted with us - dimmed the lights a bit in the hall to see the 'mood' and asked us twice if we wanted some food or drink.

He's got a liquor cabinet in his office. Hee hee. I like him alot he's cool.

Actaully now that I am thinking of it there was a party in the 2nd room during the day last Saturday - was that your cousin's party?

I like the barbie dolls and the dresses. And your cousins look great - very pretty girls.
