My Fitting was Awesome!! (LONG) With Link to Pics
Hi everyone!
I had my first fitting this past weekend!! (In case you're wondering, I did mention this in a previous post.) My dress was a sample that needed to be altered a lot, and I was so excited to see it again and nervous about how it was going to look and fit. When I put it on - I was amazed - it FIT me - and looked better than I thought it would - it was nothing like the Frankenstein version that I had imagined! It was so fantastic to be able to wear my dress without tons of clips in the back or someone holding it up (I'm pretty skinny, and am hoping to gain some weight before the wedding), and to be able to actually see how it looks in my size! Before the fitting, I only had a few pics of my dress on me in its unaltered state, and was having such awful bouts of dress doubt - but not anymore!! I was so excited, I was literally shaking and had a huge ridiculous smile on my face the whole time!
Karin Yngvesdotter is an awesome seamstress and such a sweet person! She let my Mom take a whole bunch of pictures (I need something to tide me over until my next fitting in May!), and we all had such a great time talking and laughing! Here's a link to some of the pictures. I hope it works okay. Some of them are a bit blurry, I don't know why, I tried to fix it but with no luck. My red face is thanks to me being so estatic, the room felt like a sauna to me, even though there was a window open!
Let me know what you think of the pics and if you like the french bustle that Karin did! Again, I cannot compliment Karin enough! My dress only has basting stitches at the moment and still needs to be fine tuned to get everything to lay perfectly, but it is such a Huge improvement over how it fit me before! Thank you, Karin!!
