Does anyone else have a really bad upper respiratory infection????????
It WILL NOT go away I have the stuffy nose beyond belief and the cough that just won't stop. And NOTHING is helping. I don't feel terrible overall, but just very snotty. (MMM, yummy ) Just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem. You know what they say....misery loves company

It''s totally going around! FH had it. He still feels a bit tight in his chest.

Yes!! This thing is Definitely going around!!
FH had a cough that would not stop (or let either of us sleep) for over 2 Weeks!!! He wasn''t feeling sick where he needed to be in bed (only for the first day or two), but he just kept coughing - it was worse at night, all through the night, and when he woke up.
He Finally went to the Dr. this past Tues. who gave him Zithromax (very strong antibiotic) and said that FH had the beginning of an infection. It took until Yesterday for him to start feeling better!
I would recommend a trip to your Dr. for antibiotics to get rid of it. Feel Better!!

You can count me in! I was so sick all week but chocked it up to allergies. By Friday I was spitting up blood in my phlegm, sorry TMI. So I called the DR. on Saturday. Not opened. He called me in Zitromax also. Today, I am a New WOMAN! Miracle Drug, that Zithromax! :)

i had it too my father is a resp. ther. in a hospital and told me it last a long time some people he is coming across have had it for a month

Yes, something is going around! I was sick last month with this bug, and I NEVER get sick, but this one was rough. I skipped the Zithromax and went straight to Levaquin so I didnt wind up with pnemonia! Feel better!

Ok, now I am really scared I am going to get pneumonia. I don't have health insurance until next month, either. ARGH! I am feeling A LOT better, but I still have some lingering chest congestion that is stubbornly not going away. I guess I need to shell out the 150 bucks and go to the doctor. DAMN IT!

dont mean to get personal but just try to sit in the bathroom and run the hot water only in the shower and stand there that helps my dad always says to do that.

Another one with the same thing. Just went to the doctor last night. I also had a cough for over two weeks (and that was just comin goff of another antiobiotic for another viral infection) and also chalked it up to allergies. I feel ok - a little tired and run down but chalked that to stress and running around). Just have this horrible congested cough - worse in the morning and keeping me up at night. Doctor checked for pneumonia but it wasn't that - just bronchitis and asthma. I pick up my Zithromax at lunchtime along with my new inhaler and some other medicine for the congestion!

My son is really sick with some sort of cold or flu type thing. He came home from work on Sunday with a 101 temp, stuffy nose and hacky cough and he is still sick today. Of course he refuses to go to the doctor. Men!

Another Zithromax girl here. I just went to the Dr. last night because I had had a very persistent phlegm-y cough for over a week (and no other standard symptoms) I took my first two this morning and we'll see what happens next.

i had the same thing last month that lasted me 3 weeks. i finally went to the doctor and she gave me zithromax and it made it go away.
