Congratulations and best of luck to Kimberly Thomas and Rick Haas on their engagement and impending wedding. And, best wishes to their respective families. The happy couple from Westbury, a food service specialist and a business owner respectively are the children of Susan Thomas and Rosemary Moschella and Ann-Marie and Richard Haas. They were engaged in Disney while literally on the 'top of the world' on Spaceship earth, where the groom-to-be made reference to being on top of the world is how his lady made him feel and then proposed. 'So at the very top of Spaceship Earth theres a scene where the whole top is the sky, and theres shooting stars and everything. He opened up the ring box and turned to me and said 'Now that we're on top of the world, well this is how I feel when I'm with you. Will you marry me' (something of that sort. it was really loud that I didn't even respond cause I didn't hear him ask haha) it was extremely romantic for a not so romantic ride (a ride about communication through the years) we love that ride so much and its tradition to go on that ride first. now at the top, we look at eachother and kiss and remember our special moment!' They plan a June 2007 celebration at the Riviera in Massapequa. We wish them all the best.
