Mr. and Mrs. Frederick William Schmidt I of Kings Park, New York are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Frederick William Schmidt II to Deborah Elizabeth Lapp, both of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Lapp also of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The groom is a graduate of Bloomsburg University and is currently employed by the Pennsylvania State Department of Revenue as an Auditor. The bride is a graduate of Penn State University and is currently employed by the Pennsylvania Dutch Council, Boy Scouts of America.
The couple met in Lancaster in August 2002 and were engaged on August 26, 2006 at the beach in Ocean City, Maryland. They are planning to marry on June 21, 2008 at Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst, New York.
