Congratulations and best of luck to Virginia Rutter and Salvatore Carri of Long Beach. The happy couple, a photo production professional and daughter of Elizabeth Forschmidt and William Rutter, and a Verizon Business to Business Sales profession and son or Tony and Maria Carri were engaged this past May in Torrino Italy. We are still riding high from our proposal experience. I just discovered this website thing so here goes...We were on vacation visiting Sal's family in Torino, Italy. Amazing place. He brought me to a Castle that day. (He knows that I love castles.) We went for a walk in the garden of the Castle after taking a tour. We sat on a bench under some trees. He started to tell me how happy he was that I could meet his Nona and be there for her 90th birthday. He started saying that it's his job to make me happy for the rest of his life. He eyes teared up and then mine did too. We both started crying. He told me how happy I make him and we both make each other stronger individuals in life and that it only makes sense that we take it to the next level. He got on one knee in front of me and all I could do was cover my face and cry. Then I saw him go for his pocket and I couldn't believe the moment was there. Of course it was very emotional. I was shaking and crying, he was shaking and crying.. No one was around. It felt like we were the only two people on the planet! We have both been through alot together, he has changed my life more than anyone will ever know. This October 18th is our 3 year anniversary together. But we met 16 years ago. Funny how life works. They hope to celebrate with frliends and family sometime in September 2007, We wish them all the best.
