Long Island Engagement Announcements

Congratulations to Meg Fischer and Javier Ochoa and to their respective families, Barbara and Robert Fishcher and Guadalupe Gonzalez and Javier Ochoa Sr. The bride, a nursing student from Mineola and the groom, a Manager for the Sherwin Williams Paint company from Franklin Square were engaged on October 21, 2006. Javier surprised me by proposing at his alma mater, The Citadel. He proposed when we visited for parent's/alumni weekend in the battalion where he lived as a student. As he was taking my picture rose petals fell from above- I looked up at a banner that said, 'Will you marry me?' It was in front of all the visiting parents and current students in the battalion. The school was where we fell in love as I used to visit him often when he was a student. The happy couple look forward to a February 2007 celebration at The Citadel in South Carolina. We wish them all the best
