Long Island Engagement Announcements

We are happy to welcome to our online family Athina and Thomas and to extend our congratulations and wishes for all the best to them and their families: April and Humberto; and Ann Marie and Thomas. The happy couple, an Editor and a Technical specialist, both from Brooklyn were engaged in their apartment on Novembe 11, 2007. 'We were in our apartment getting ready to go to his parents for Sunday dinner in November 11th, 2007. I was sitting on our loveseat, when he turned off the football game, took my laptop from me and starred at me for about 5 minutes. It freaked me out. He just kept smiling and kissing my hand. He started to speak and at first I honestly thought he was breaking up with me, so I started to mentally plan his death. =) Then I realized what really was going on that I was just trying to breath. I didnt hear 90% of it. lol. My response was 'are you sh*tting me' (My mom must be so proud. haha!) I finally said YES. Hug. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Hug. We went to his parents' house, where he planned a surprise party with a handful of his family, a bunch of friends and some of my family. I still lose my breathe everytime I think about it. There's a myth if you make a wish when the clock turns to 11:11 it will come true. Well, Tom made my dreams come true when the calendar turned to 11/11. Unknown to me, he recorded the proposal. With the distance of the camera from us, Tom's whispering and the camera itself the quality isn't too great, but I still treasure it.' They look forward to a November 2008 wedding and celebration. We wish them much continued love and happiness.
