Congratulations and best wishes to Melody Rodriguez and Joseph Alberti and their families: Carolyn and Jose Rodriguez; and Elolen and Bill Albeti as they share in the joy of an exciting road toward maritalj bliss. The two, a Retail Store Manager, and a Local 1 Plumber, both from North Baldwin were engaged on February 13, 2007. 'On the night before Valentine's day Joseph had me close my eyes and turn my back toward him. As he placed a necklace around my neck he began to tell me how I would love the pendant of this necklace. He first asked me to look at the chain, which was a gaudy yellow gold rope chain that had been worn by his late grandfather pete. The yellow rope chain totally wasn't my style and he knew it but he insisted I would love the pendant. He asked me to pull the pendant that had been dsngling down my back up to the front. When I pulled up the pendant it was a beautiful engagement ring and he got down on one knee and said ' I know that I said I wouldn't put your name on the deed to the house...and the reason for that is that I want to put OUR names on the deed. Will you marry me?' ...of course, I said YES!' They look forward to an October 18, 2008 wedding at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Center. We wish them all the best.
