Congratulations and best wishes to Leslie and Mike and to their parents Lorraine and Barrie; and Lolana and Attilio. The two, and Elementary School Teacher and a Technology Sales Rep, from Bellmore were engaged on February 24, 2007 in Massapequa. 'After returning from a vacation to Miami and Key West it was time to celebrate Mike's 31st birthday. Leslie and Mike planned a get together with a few friends and the two were going to have a private dinner before joining everyone else. While at dinner, Mrs. Kolstein had given Mike a card with a gift certificate for the restaurant the two were dining at. Leslie had almost ruined the surprise that morning by giving Mike the card earlier than she was suppose to. Luckily, Mike was quick enough to keep it underwraps and the plan was still in place. In the card were scratch off cards which Mike insisted be scratched there. Once scratching off the first card, Leslie realized she had won $10! Upon scratching the second card, she realized she had won much more than that! The scratch off read 'Will you marry me?' and Mike was down on bended knee asking for her hand in marriage. After dinner the celebration continued at the birthday, and now engagement party, with many of their closest friends and family. ' They look forward to a June 2008 celebration at Carltun on the Park.
