Long Island Engagement Announcements

We are happy to announce the engagement of Tricia Galante and Brendan Tilllinghast and to extend our congratulations to their families: JoAnn and Nick; and Gwen and Craig. The happy couple, a Speech-language pathologist from Eastport and a Pilot from Rocky Point were engaged on December 15, 2007 in Port Jefferson Harbor. 'It was a cold winter night, Christmas lights on all the houses and stores, snow flurries swirlling in the wind and Christmas music playing from a local restaurant. Brendan took me down to the harbor at Port Jefferson and we sat on a park bench, the one we had our first real kiss on. We talked for a little while about how beautiful it was there and how much we love eachother. Later it got cold and we walked back to the town. Brendan (pretended) slipped on the ice, as I bent down to help him up he pulled me close to him and pulled the ring out of his pocket. He aske me to marry him and I kept saying ''no way'', ''are you serious?!' I was shocked and surprised and SO HAPPY. I cried and kept laughing while he tried to kiss me. As he put the ring on my finger I could barely see it because of the tears flowing out of my eyes. It was so romantic and amazing, I can't believe it! ' They look forward to a January 1, 2009 celebration. We would like to welcome them aboard an wish them all the best.
