Congratulations, welcome aboard and all the best to Madelyn and Lee, Jr. and their families: Juan and Luz; and Lee, Sr. and Elba.
The two, a Lega & Business Affairs professional at MTV International and a Jr. Account Manager at The Merdleh Goup, both from Woodhaven were engaged in Times Square on January 1, 2008
We made plans to have dinner at the Blue Fin Restaurant in Times Square on New Year's Eve. The place was perfect (even thought I didn’t know I was getting engaged!). Lee first attempted to propose at the restaurant at midnight but I insisted on going outside to watch the ball drop (strike number 1). Times Square didn't seem like the ideal place to whip out a diamond ring so he held back and we enjoyed the craziness of the countdown! We decided to walk around the city afterwards, since it was such a beautiful night and Lee suggested we go to a nearby fountain to “take pictures”. Again I shot him down and said I didn’t want to go (strike number 2). He walked toward me (he’s about to do it!) and I walked right past him and started looking at the pictures in our camera (STRIKE 3!). FINALLY, he got my attention, got down on one knee and proposed! I couldn’t stop crying!'
They look foward to a March 22, 2009 celebration at Russo's On The Bay.
